It’s time for a check-up!

Bring your favorite stuffed animal to the Teddy Bear Clinic
and let our medical professionals administer a check-up,
treatment and provide hope and healing.

10 a.m. to noon

at Shriners Children’s Lexington, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY

*Free parking is available in the garage at 110 Transcript Ave. Please park on the end closest to Limestone. Use
Level 3 or take the elevator to Level 3, then take the pedway to Shriners Children’s Lexington.

Children will have an opportunity to play nurse and doctor as their stuffed
animal undergoes a ‘pretend’ surgery. Each child will start at the beginning
of the registration process and work their way through to the recovery room.
They will be provided a mask, surgical hat, cotton padding, Band-Aids and an
opportunity to interact with simple surgical instruments as they work to heal
their stuffed animal back to perfect health. Upon conclusion of their stuffed
animal’s surgery they will receive a tour of the medical center’s operating rooms
and ask a staff member questions about the surgery.
The goal of the Teddy Bear Clinic is that each child leaves with a decreased
fear about hospitalization and possible inspiration to pursue a career path in
the medical field!
